Marketing isn't for the faint-hearted. Every few days an update from Google completely disrupts the online market. Unfortunately, brick and mortar businesses seem to feel the most pressure to adapt. Various freelancers and marketing "agencies" pop up and claim to be experts, yet disappear after a year. This guide is made for the consumer with the consumers interest in mind. Use this as your starting point and continue to learn new ways to increase your online presence. Don't feel stuck in the tidal wave of "new". Just start here.

1. Website Development and Design

First things first: does your business have a website? A website that is being monitored daily to deflect spam and other malware that can harm your business? It is proven that having a functioning website with great user experience (UX) will help drive more traffic to your business. Having a landing page where users can easily call or contact you is a vital part of any business. Here are a few tips when building or maintaining a website:
  • Domain Name
    • Buy a domain name (www.namecheap.com or www.namesilo.com) with your exact business name or your exact business service.
    • Make it short, easy, and memorable.
  • Appeal to the User
    • Develop a website that is intuitive. Remember, you are attracting real people with real interest. Keep their interest by making the website functional
    • Keep the website simple: Home, About, Services/Products, Contact pages.
  • Design
    • Make the design congruent with your business. Are you a bounce house company? A private jet rental corporation? Make sure your website design emulates your business model with relevant photos, content and information.
    • 80% of users use their smart phones to find services in their area. Make sure your website is built for mobile devices as well.

2. Search Engine Optimization (SEO)
  • Content
    • Write content (1,000 words or more for the home page is recommended) that is intriguing and straight to the point. Don't keep your users guessing what you do.
    • Create headers for each paragraph with your main keywords/services you are trying to rank. (H1, H2, H3, etc.)
    • Keep your content relevant to the services and products the company provides. Include benefits and history of the company.
  • Social Media Integration

Take Social Media Advertising to Another Level

1/7/2018

Keep Up with Change

As a digital marketer, I have come to realize that social advertising is constantly changing.

Back in the days, we’d see Facebook ads with still images, now it’s all improving – making use of incredible computer animation, and sometimes, even real life actors in short videos.

I’ve read somewhere that this could be the result of Gen Z finally making their way into the workforce. It’s amazing how they can build your brand way faster with Instagram posts, compared to setting a billboard campaign in a street somewhere.

With this in mind, it’s important to figure out how to stand out in a digital world full of social media ads. There are so many social media platforms vying for the consumers’ attention today.

via GIPHY

Static Imagery is Yesterday’s News

You need to think with motion, because no matter how nice your visual is, static imagery just won’t cut it nowadays.

Do you know that the average smartphone user can scroll around 178 meters on a daily basis?
So, if you want to stand out, you have to throw in something playful and creative.

Try thinking about eye-catching animations for starters, and don’t be afraid to experiment.
Remember, the goal is to attract attention and drive traffic to your site.

via GIPHY

Utilize What You Have

A quick turnaround is necessary for social media ads. Producing high quantity content without sacrificing quality is also essential. This is where your creativity and resourcefulness comes in.

You need to work with what you have. If you do not have the budget for a particular thing, find an alternative by utilizing what you already have. Your goal is to produce content that will get your audience and target market to notice you.
Picture

Be Visible in Multiple Social Media Channels

Do not confine yourself in a single platform. There are multiple social media channels out there where you can establish your online presence and visibility.

Not everyone who uses Facebook has Twitter and Instagram. Some people prefer a particular platform, that’s why it’s important that you make yourself visible in different social media channels. This will allow you to reach more people, and potential clients.

via GIPHY

Be Fully Mobile Optimized

I think it’s safe to say that majority of today’s consumers access sites through the use of smartphones.
That being said, it is essential that you keep your site and content fully mobile-optimized.

Most people will use a smaller device, simply because it’s more convenient to carry them around.
There’s a high chance that they will browse the internet and interact online while on commute.

via GIPHY

Step Out of Your Comfort Zone

In order to really take your social media advertising to another level, you have to keep up with the changes and trends online.

Do not be afraid to try something new. If you fail, so what? Try another approach until you get the result that you want. Don’t ever let failure stop you from reaching your full potential.

Digital Advertising Trends To Watch In 2018

12/30/2017

Change is inevitable and digital evolution is a continuous process.

As the year comes to a close, I can’t help but wonder what digital advertising trends will drive the dynamics of marketing, and the future of technology.

Let’s welcome 2018 with these predictions and see if they will come true.
Picture

Artificial Intelligence Will Be More Popular

One of the most talked about speculations in the digital world is the rise of the A.I.

The use of artificial intelligence is not new. In fact, statistics show that 57% of online marketers use A.I. to boost their business. Remember that nice “chatbot” eagerly answering your queries?
Yes, artificial intelligence, my friend.

The growth and advancement of technology will determine the success and popularity of A.I. in the next months to come. The more advanced technology becomes, the more popular these A.I.s will be in marketing.
Picture

Strategic Social Media Plans Will Get You More Followers

The changing algorithms and the constant updates make it harder for local businesses to reach their intended audience on social media. The competition is tough and you will need to claw your way to the top if you want to keep your social presence known to all.

If you want to establish your social presence and build a social media base, you will need to come up with excellent strategic and actionable plans.

2018 is the year for both local businesses and big brands to amp their social strategies.
Picture

Content Marketing Will Continue to Grow

Do you know that 70% of consumers prefer informative articles over ads?

People would rather read about a product or service before trying it out themselves to save time and money.

It’s not easy to do all the content marketing yourself. Go ahead and outsource your content creation for a more streamlined process.

Make use of the different forms of content marketing like blog posts, videos, and infographics.
Picture

Voice Searches Everywhere

Many consumers are looking forward to the substantial improvement of voice search in the next few months. Thanks to technology, we can now use voice search almost everywhere, from mobile phones to tablets to computers.

A number of digital experts have predicted that the growth and popularity of voice search will continue to surge in 2018.
Picture

Digital World Goes Hyperlocal

Have you noticed the popular social media platforms trying to use your location for a tailored-search?

This feature gives the consumers a localized social platform to make searching for a product or service in
the area a lot easier.

This digital advertising trend will be a game-changer in 2018. It will allow local businesses to compete with well-known brands by giving them the exposure they need.

By going hyperlocal, consumer attention will be divided among worthy options.

Picture

These are just some of the trends that I think will emerge in 2018. I’m sure there are more.

So, if you don’t want to get left behind, you better start working on your social media strategies and get your content marketing in line. Utilize A.I.s and voice searches to establish your social presence both locally,
and worldwide.

Why Google Reviews Are Important For Your Business

9/24/2017

Designing a successful marketing campaign for your business is a huge competitive advantage for those who understand how these campaigns work. Google and other major search engines are not only writing the rules and guidelines, but they are helping to communicate what they are looking for in the most effective strategies. This is one of the main reasons why business owners should pay close attention to even the smallest changes as they are made. In Particular, business owners need to know things like, Why Google Reviews Are Important For Your Business.
Picture

1) Google reviews helps your  local SEO

Getting started with any type of business can be a challenging experience. In particular, when the owner and their representatives are designing and launching a SEO in Boynton Beach campaign.

Today, because there are so many elements involved in getting these campaigns up and running, business owners must know what works and what does not so that they can focus on the area that matters most. This is one of the top reasons why it is essential to know how Google reviews factor into a successful marketing campaign.

For instance, because 40% of all mobile device searches are made with the intent to find a product, service or a company online, this is one of the main reasons why these reviews are so important. Typically, when the reviews found are positive and not negative, these reviews can easily be used as word of mouth advertisement for increasing a local company's growth.

2) Google reviews increase CTR from SERPs

When business owners are monitoring their keyword performance, they will have an opportunity to see their CTR (Click through rate). This information comes from the SERP, or the search engine results pages.

When analyzing these rates and what they actually mean, the owner will find out that every time their website comes up on the first page, the consumer has a chance to choose their site or someone else's.

If the consumer does choose the business owner's site, they will get the click. These are also cases and situations where positive Google Reviews and SEO in Boynton Beach opportunities can make a significant difference in increasing sales and profits.

3) Consumers Read them to Make a Decision

Picture
Sometimes people may want to purchase an item online because of a need or preference that they have at that time. In some cases, the consumer may have a strong interest in buying the product, but they want to know more about it prior to making an investment.

Fortunately, with all of the reviews that people post on their sites, the information that the customer is looking for is at their fingertips. For instance, if an individual would like to buy a new refrigerator or a pellet stove, they would like to know in advance what others think about it. Whether it is bad or good, they want to know more in detail so that they can make an informed decision.

So, if Google reviews are positive and the group that leaves the reviews would purchase the same item all over again, the customers are much more likely to buy the item at that time instead of waiting. In fact, as a general rule of thumb, reviews are meant to give the consumer the confidence that they need to make the purchase.

4) Bad Rules -- Ruin the Image

Just like good reviews can increase sales, bad reviews can have a big adverse impact on the company's profits. In fact, when a company continues to get lots of bad reviews, this information is often passed on to others, and can do a lot of unwanted damage and harm. Therefore, it is very important that business owners and their representatives understand how important Google Reviews are in determining the behavior of their potential customers. It also important to note that bad reviews can compromise and ruin the brand.

Perhaps you’ve listed your products on Amazon but you’re wondering how to ensure that it gets in front of millions of online shoppers. Amazon is one of the top platforms to sell online due to a number of reasons.
Advertising in Boca Raton

Why Amazon?
For a start, research shows that shoppers use Amazon to search for a product that is offered on many other retailers’ websites. In fact, 9 out of 10 shoppers will look for a product on Amazon before they buy.

Secondly, Amazon is a great channel that can complement your business website and help you to reach more customers. Some businesses have even used Amazon to gain visibility because it gives people the ability to discover your brand and the items on your site.

Lastly, if you fail to create an Amazon listing for your brand, someone else will. Third party sellers can offer your product at a higher price and sell it to consumers because you don’t have a presence on Amazon.

4 Ways to Promote Your Brand on Amazon

With that said, you need to ensure you know how to keep your Amazon listing on top once it’s set up. Remember that by putting in more effort, you are likely to get more interests and conversions on Amazon. We’ll show you how to get started.

Optimized Product Listings
The way your listing appears on Amazon will really determine the kind of visibility you eventually get. Many e-commerce shoppers are not looking below the fold when searching for products. That’s why you first need to ensure you have put an appropriate title that describes what the item is and how it fulfills their need.
Use bullets to mention key facts about the product in the description. Pictures are also very important on Amazon listings. Use your USPs to tell customers why they need to buy from you now.

Get Reviews
For new sellers, Amazon can select you randomly for the Early Review Program. This program simply gives customers a small gift when they share a review after purchasing. Understand the regulations that Amazon has put in place for collecting reviews. Recently,

Amazon banned reviews written by clients who have received a free or discounted product from a professional seller. Try sending emails with marketing messages to get reviews or ask your customers to review.

Take Advantage of Promotions

Amazon runs different promotions which vendors can participate in and get more product sales at an increased velocity. Don’t aim at offering huge discounts all the time. These heavy discounts usually work when your product is still new since it can help you to get more reviews once you buy.

Drive Traffic to Your Amazon Listing
If you want to promote your Amazon listing, try driving traffic from blogs, Facebook Ads, Google Ad words and other marketing channels like influencers, to your listing. This external traffic can help you to increase conversions. You can even have bloggers and bloggers to drive traffic to the listing from their respective channels. This way, they can collect an affiliate commission when customers end up buying the product.

How Social Media Can Help Increase Your Brand Awareness

7/10/2017

Many businesses are now using social media to speak to their customers, gain trust and boost conversations. Social media is a great avenue to make your content stick. When done right, social media marketing can quickly transform a brand and make it the talk of town. We’ll share a few tips on how to use social media to grow any kind of business.

Find The Right Platform

It’s easy to create social media channels on only the popular platforms and assume that your target market only uses that platform. Remember, social media sites are like search engines. People can browse through and look for different information and products. That’s why it’s important to start a conversation regarding a product or service you offer and give people a forum to discuss. This is why the first step is choosing the right social media channels based on your target market. For instance, if you are looking for a mature and professional audience, LinkedIn would be a good place to start. Other platforms like Instagram and Pinterest may not be ideal for such a brand.

Picture

Make Sustainable Efforts

One of the areas where most businesses go wrong is trying to be on every social media site and compose so many status updates every day in a bid to reach as many people as possible. This rarely works. You need to make every effort sustainable and you can only do this if you stick to the important platforms. You don’t need to have multiple status updates a day. The important thing is to remain consistent and offer your users quality as opposed to quantity.

Focus On Visual Content

It’s easy to grab the attention of social media users when you use images and videos (more visual content) as opposed to just plain text. Visual content is easier for people to digest and catches the eyes of social media users faster. So always try and attach images to your status updates regardless of where you are posting. This often works on all social media platforms.

Encourage Conversations

Conversational content always works for businesses on social media platforms. You can try posting funny memes, tips and facts and try and see what level of engagement you get from it. With time, you will be able to know what your followers are attracted to. Mention other people or businesses that you work with and you might make your brand visible elsewhere. Conversational content will give you better engagement, more trust and higher click through rates.
Picture

Tap Into What’s Trending

You also need to leverage on trends, whether it’s a topic that’s related to your industry or a story that is doing the rounds. The good thing with trending topics is that they tend to create interest immediately. You can get free media mentions from leveraging on trends and news stories. But make sure that you do this in good taste and that it doesn’t do more harm than good to your brand.

THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN SEO AND DIGITAL MARKETING

7/5/2017

While most people use SEO and digital marketing synonymously, these two terms could mean different things even though they have certain similarities.

What is SEO?
Simply put, SEO or search engine marketing is the process of optimizing web pages for search engines. Various techniques are employed to ensure that a website appears on top of relevant search terms. For instance, if you have a car repair business and you would like to perform SEO in order to grow your brand, you’d want your website to appear on top of SERP, or search engine result pages, when someone searches for “car repairs” in your area. For this to happen, you’ll need to perform various search engine optimization techniques.

What’s the goal of SEO?
SEO is mainly done to achieve higher rankings in the SERPs. The reason why many businesses want their websites to rank high is because it gives them more traffic and better visibility. Research shows that web users click on the websites that appear on the first page of Google SERPs. Very few people will go to page 2 onwards.

This means that even though you may offer the best product or service, you’ll miss out on potential sales because they didn’t get to find your business on search. SEO specialists allow businesses to achieve their goals of ranking high for relevant terms by using the best practices. Popular SEO tactics used today include keyword optimization and internal linking.
Picture
What is digital marketing?
Digital marketing is an umbrella term that represents marketing products and services online using different techniques. It is basically marketing efforts that use the web or email in order to drive sales through e-commerce or generate leads. SEO is one of the forms of digital marketing. There are many other digital marketing strategies including email marketing, PPC, social media marketing and Link building that achieve the same purpose, which is to drive visibility, leads and conversions through online channels.

Why digital marketing?
Some businesses will need to do more than just search engine optimization in order to grow to their full potential online. Other than making sure your website ranks high on search engines, you may want to drive traffic to your pages via social media, by sending out emails or linking to other websites. In this case, you will be focusing on digital marketing as opposed to just SEO.

A digital marketing expert can know how to implement an SEO campaign. In the same way, an SEO specialist can use other techniques to get the website to rank high such as social media marketing. Since search engines consider social signals as one of the ranking factors, getting people to visit your website from social media will eventually help to improve your rankings.

Digital marketing experts can use other forms of marketing such as SMS, TVs and Billboards to still generate leads and push people to the website or app. The goal of digital marketing is to increase the business’s online presence and this can be done beyond implementing an effective SEO campaign.

Customer’s search online for specific problems that they would like a solution to. Do you know what your customers are searching for? Define their problem and provide a valued solution with your product or service. With online advertising, use your customer’s problem as the focused ad copy - target their needs. Instead of focusing on your product or service features, focus on your benefits. By focusing on your valued proposition, you will be surpass the competitors who simply don’t know their consumers, therefore don’t know their real value.

 2. Limited Time Offer
The goal for a paid advertisement is to create a sense of call to action; a sense of urgency. By using this strategy, it shows customers that your business is active and provides exclusive services that only they can find within a set period of time. Exclusivity often pays for itself. Your customer will feel they can’t find this offer anywhere else, creating a fear of missing out on a great deal. Trust us, it works!

3. Call to Action
“Contact Us Today” or “Call Us Now” provides a modem of communication between buyer and seller. With a strategic PPC campaign, a distinct call to action is necessary for high ROI. After all, what’s the sense of creating an ad without a way to communicate with the business? By creating a sense of urgency (as stated above) and then following your ad copy with a clear call to action converts observers into buyers.

Here are a few CTA examples:
  • Buy Now!
  • Save Today Only!
  • Redeem Coupon!
  • Register Now

4. The Solution
In your ad campaign, it is important to acknowledge the customer’s problems by also following up with the seller’s solution. Alleviate the risks and fears of the customer by providing insight into their problem and handing them a solution for their troubles. Creating a sense of helpfulness will help breed customer loyalty.

5. Use Reviews
People tend to buy from businesses that have great reviews. Luckily today, Google Adwords and Facebook advertising have these options at your disposal. You can now include 5 star reviews in your ad copy while also providing the other four items in the list. These reviews and quotes from satisfied (or unsatisfied) customers can help determine your customer’s next plan of action.
